Event florals for the bride or event planner who wants a sustainable, local, garden inspired look without the full service floral price tag.
We offer two options for wedding and event florals here at Sea Salt Blooms, DIY Bulk Buckets and A La Carte designs. For the a la carte designed florals we design and style your bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, corsages, bud vases, or any combination of these items. You pick them up at the farm the day before your wedding. It’s as easy as that!
Because we focus on using sustainable, local, Midcoast Maine grown flowers, we flow with the seasons, and Mother Nature determines what’s in bloom at any given time. So while we can’t guarantee any particular type of bloom, we can guarantee that the flowers you get from us will be the elegant, ethereal, dramatic garden inspired flowers we focus on.
Since we farm with Mother Nature, our season of local flower availability here in Midcoast Maine typically runs from May though early October, with the widest variety of choice available from July through the first two weeks of September. We do have a substantial peony field, with bloom time running typically in early June, and we have a number of lovely lilac trees, the blooms of which can be purchased in a design or via our bulk bucket option.
We grow several thousand tulips every year, and the bloom time for tulips varies, but is typically in late April through mid-May.
While we do not offer consultations for our a la carte flowers, we do have an extensive questionnaire we send you. So while we cannot guarantee a specific type of flower, we can typically provide flowers within a given color palette, ie, blush and peach, rich and saturated, bright and cheerful, etc.
